Hi everyone! I wanted to say welcome to the new subscribers and thank you to the OG’s who’ve been here from the beginning. I of course have no idea what’s happening with Twitter but it’s so tumultuous it seems any day it could all collapse. This is just one reason why I wanted to get this going again.

I have a lot to share with you but I’m also curious what you’d like to see from me and from this place. Admittedly this last year really burned me out. I moved so much during Covid, got a divorce, came to a new city and got swept up in my day job and my social life and have neglected being more present here, not just for any readers but for myself.

So, I’m back and want to get this churning again. If there’s something you want to see here please comment or send me an email: shannonstirone@gmail.com

For anyone who knows me, you know I will talk a lot about space and life and how so much of what we think isn’t connected, really is and how the beauty of those connections can make our lives just a tiny bit better. I will talk about that here and also probably a lot of stuff that isn’t related. What can I say, I contain multitudes.

Anyway, thank you for being here. More to come!

—Shannon

1. I'd like to hear about your trip to Antarctica.

2. I read some of your Twitter posts about surviving wildfire season in California. That seemed to be one factor (of several) in your decision to relocate to New York. Serious question: do you consider yourself to be a climate migrant? I'd be interested in your reflections on the experience (yours or others') of moving to a new place as a knock-on effect of climate change.

I'd love to hear about your polar expedition! And, of course, all things space. Take care. :)
